Merry Meet to you, my name is Jemma Gordon & I am a 38 year old Spirit Medium & Reiki Master/Teacher, based in Glasgow, Scotland. I Demonstrate Mediumship at Spiritualist churches throughout the West of Scotland as well as appearing at charity events/fundraiser's, doing on-line readings, writing metaphysical articles, teaching Reiki & other healing systems, teaching Mediumship development / Psychic development / Numerology & generally keeping as busy as I can.
I have been interested in all things mystical, magical & spiritual all my life. Since I was a very small child, I've been aware of a "Spirit World" or Afterlife, & that our loved ones that "Die" do not just cease to exist but rather go on living within another mostly unseen realm. As a child, I never questioned this even-though I was tarred with an "Overactive imagination". Well, they tell you seeing is believing after-all! After I had what would be termed a "Near-death Experience" when i was around 6 years old (Yes, there was a tunnel - a swirly multi-coloured one), the visitations dwindled. Yes, I admit it, I was beginning to become a little afraid of the spirit realms, due mainly to Ghost stories & Horror Films I'd been hearing people talking about!!
Things took a dramatic turn when I was around 15 though. Whilst I had too numerous to mention scary experiences, I also had some of the most wonderful - enlightening ones too! One of which was meeting one of my Spirit Guides, a young Native American brave, who is still with me today & I believe he will be guiding me for the remainder of my earthly life. Oh how I try his patience at times!!! I also seen & interacted with both of my beloved Grandfathers after their passings, started to read playing cards for friends, trying to develop my mediumship, visiting a spiritualist church, reading books & generally digesting everything I could about everything metaphysical.
In 1999, I began to write articles for websites under the name "Mystikia", you can find many of my articles still on websites to this day (although, many didn't ask permission & some have even removed my name from the articles, cheeky beggars, lol,) subjects ranging from Tea Leaf reading to Tarot to Moon phases, & pretty much everything in-between. I also began doing on-line tarot readings at this time too, taught Numerology on-line and taught a "Talisman Making" course as well.
In 2004, after the passing of my father, I decided to take things further with my mediumship & joined a Development circle at a spiritualist church. Although I could already 'see', 'hear' & 'feel' Spirit, I felt I could benefit from a more structured training. I also learned about the Japanese healing art of Reiki at this time too, receiving my Master/Teacher Certificate in 2006. Reiki has brought much healing & revelation to my life since I took my first tentative steps into it, & it is always a joy to share Reiki with others.
I have had many Teachers (both physical & Spirit) over the years & can honestly say that I have learned much from them - Thank you, you know who you are. So, it was an honour to be asked to teach the Weekly "Mediumship & Meditation" class at the Thistle Centre in August 2010, a pleasure I had up to the centre closing in May 2012. Teaching is something I enjoy immensely & is something I will be doing a lot more of in the future.
Well, as one door closes... another door opens, so to speak & in May 2012, I had the great privilege of starting my own church in the Parkhead area of Glasgow. "Trinity Vale" started once-weekly on a Wednesday, but due to demand, a Sunday service was quickly added. It is truly a privilege to interact with so many wonderful people through the church - be they visiting Mediums, regulars or those that are grieving - our arms are open to everyone.
