Written by - Jemma Gordon (Mystikia)
Take a look around you.... you are surrounded by colour! From the clothes you are wearing... to your home.... to your work environment....to nature... Colours are quite simply an integral part of life - but we hardly even notice them.
The colour in our homes, offices & even the clothes we wear - all have an influence on our moods and well-being, and we can use colour to effectively enhance harmony in both mind & body.
Each colour in the spectrum vibrates at it's own rate and these correspond with your body's own vibrations.
For example; if you are anxious, by using an appropriate colour, you can quite quickly restore your inner calm.
What follows is a brief round up of the main colours & their effects, and also the best colours to use in the rooms of your home.
*Please note - the use of colour is to be used alongside & not as a substitute for medical assistance!*

This colour focuses the attention. It attracts a feeling of well-being & brings a smile to your lips. Yellow is connected with the nervous system, the liver, the bladder, the pancreas, the gall bladder & the skin, so if you suffer from a problem in any of these areas, it may help to surround yourself with this colour. Yellow can boost your self-esteem & helps clear away mental confusion & negative thinking, you can't help but feel bright & cheerful when wearing Yellow!
